‘Healing Alone’ is a collaborative web-comic which combines the critical research and personal experiences of its authors, Dr Isabel Hanson and artist Safdar Ahmed. The comic depicts both sides of the patient-doctor relationship, highlighting areas where communication and understanding frequently breaks down within the culture of professional disconnection, bullying, depersonalised care and institutional busy-ness in our modern hospitals.
